Let the Layering Season Start

Fall is a great season for layering. I have seen many beautiful fall looks by other fashion bloggers, and can't wait to show some of my own. This long top from Cache is pretty fitted yet very comfortable with soft cotton material. It is nice to show its special design on the back in summer time,  or layer it with a jacket in this cooler season.

ADDICTION

I have been totally addicted, ever since I did my first biking trip in Lanesboro 6 years ago. It is a neat little tourist town, with endless fun to offer and long shady trails to walk or bike. My hubby (my boyfriend back then) and I were so excited to try out a tandem bike from the rental shop, which I only saw in movies before. We enjoyed it so much that we have been sticking to the same type every year we go back whenever it is available.

This time was the only time we had to ride our own separate bikes. Although the trail remains beautiful as usual (and the bike color actually matched my outfit!), I really miss teaming up and pedaling in the same pace with him. Fortunately, we are always a good team and in the same pace in life:)

White On Denim

In summer time, if I don’t have a particular idea of what I would like to wear, I go with white on denim. Slight variations on either top or bottom can create different looks: it can be simple cotton T shirt or boyfriend shirt on top, and long or short denim on bottom. Just use your imagination to mix and match any way you like. If you are often girly like me, feminine top like this one from bebe, paired with skinny jeans might seem more satisfactory. I also like to throw on the colorful pearl necklace that my mom gave me, to give the look a little more sparkles:)

The Fashion Paradox

Men and women often see beauty in different ways. Lots of times men don't understand women's sense of fashion, e.g., they don't understand why we wear a scarf in summer time, or why we have a mini skirt on with a pair of paper-thin leggings when it is 20 degrees outside (although they probably like the results).

Another example of this sort of fashion paradox is this MooJolo sweater I wear: with fold over collar that intends to keep me warm but peepholes over the shoulders that make me cold:) To be honest it is hard to find the perfect season to wear this sweater, but it was love at first sight regardless. Danwa and I each bought one, making it an addition to our "sister outfit" collection.

This pleaded skirt is from bebe, one of my favorite brands. and it will keep being one of my favorite pieces to own in my life.

A Weekend Getaway

Once in a while, I like to visit a bigger city nearby over a weekend, to enjoy a larger variety of food selection, culture experience and shopping opportunity. One pleasant thing comes with the trip is to stay in a nice hotel for a night or two. I love the way everything is tastefully placed, and that the bed is always made so tidy, with pure white bed sheet smelling nice, and soft down pillows and  comforters that make you melt in it immediately.

We stayed in Blackstone Renaissance residing on Michigan AVE when we visited Chicago last time. The dress I was wearing was bought from bebe, paired with my favorite Steven Maiden Sued boots. and the cozy voluminous Calvin Klein scarf completed the look.
