Skinny Jeans

Skinny jeans have been popular in the past few years, but I never thought I would find a pair that suits me because I don’t have really skinny legs like those other girls do, until I saw these in Express.

The style is actually between “matchstick” and boot cut, with the leg opening offering extra room to tug in a pair of slender ankle boots. However, if you are very lucky to have tall lean figures, you might prefer to wear them with a pair of pretty flats. These jeans almost go with everything: a slouchy sweater in Spring like the one I was wearing in the pictures, or a sexy tank top in summer.

The Tignanello shoulder bag I luckily found in TJMAX is one of my summer favorites, not only because of its fresh white color but also the one of a kind delicate style. I have used it for so many years that it starts to show signs of wearing and scratching.  I love it nevertheless.

The Fashion Paradox

Men and women often see beauty in different ways. Lots of times men don't understand women's sense of fashion, e.g., they don't understand why we wear a scarf in summer time, or why we have a mini skirt on with a pair of paper-thin leggings when it is 20 degrees outside (although they probably like the results).

Another example of this sort of fashion paradox is this MooJolo sweater I wear: with fold over collar that intends to keep me warm but peepholes over the shoulders that make me cold:) To be honest it is hard to find the perfect season to wear this sweater, but it was love at first sight regardless. Danwa and I each bought one, making it an addition to our "sister outfit" collection.

This pleaded skirt is from bebe, one of my favorite brands. and it will keep being one of my favorite pieces to own in my life.

Purple Plaided Sweater

I am putting on a romantic purple color for the Valentine's post. This sweater was bought when I was shopping with my dearest cousin Danwa when I went back to visit hometown Sichuan in 2007. The bright color and plaid pattern stroke me first, and then the buttoned stand-up collar and asymmetric dolman-sleeved body design. We ended up each bought one so we could have one more addition to our “sister's matching outfit”.

However, during these years, I only wore this very few times due to the cute but inconvenient dolman sleeves: whenever I raise my arms (even if just lightly), my belly button will come out LOL!
