Fly With the Red Wing

After 7 years, I finally visited this small ancient town less than one hour drive away, and can’t figure out how it escaped from my tour list for so many years. This town was filled with huge flower baskets, ancient and colorful buildings, and romantic couples who were sitting by the riverside and waiting to get one their weekend getaway cruise.

The last time I wore this dress was 6 years ago when I attended a colleges’ wedding. It felt just right to wear it again since I sensed the same romance and love flowing in the air…

Flow with Roses

I love summer--the sky is still so bright after work. Since my hubby and I met in summer time, our home is often filled with roses during this season of the year:)

This floral skirt from Loft is definitely one of my staple pieces for work. It has beautiful summer pattern and great bell shape, and is made so soft that it flows perfectly when I walk in it. When I wear it, I immediately feel like a real lady! It has been with me for many years and I love it as if I just bought it!

Fire Up the Independence Day

As I promised, here comes the post regarding my independence day:)

It has almost become a tradition since a few years ago that my hubby and I spend our independence day somewhere close to waters, like Duluth (lake superior), Chicago (navy prier), or Wisconsin dells (the water park). Since the world cup is going on, we decided to stay closer to home this year (so we don’t miss too much games) and go to our never-failing easy-to-access scenic town lake city.

Since we almost come here every year, just to visit and chill, we no longer take as many photos as we did in the past, but it was no less fun to walk along the lake, watch all the boasts sailing in sunshine, and when tired and hungry, fire up and cook our favorite homemade BBQ meal in beautiful and relaxing Hok-si-la park.

Given we had so much rain recently, I felt really blessed to have a perfect day. I wish you could all feel the breeze:) Thanks for reading!

Meant to Be, Overall

Hello everyone, I hope you all had a great 4th of July weekend! While everyone updated their blogs about how they spent the holiday, I am still sorting out my pictures because I enjoy blogging more if I don’t rush myself, so it will probably come next week.:)

Today I am presenting a very fun outfit that I have been crazing for when I first saw it on lookbook almost a year ago. It was absolutely love at first sight, and I started to search for one for myself ever since then. However, the journey was so long, because the ones I could find either don’t fit right, or look too dark, or have been sold out, or have too high a price tag… I almost gave it up until I wandered into Kohl’s one day to kill time and saw these babies. What are the odds?! I almost never shop in Kohls and now I found my perfect short overall for an amazing price! On my way to the fitting room, I quickly grabbed a tank top to try on with the overall, and they go together perfectly and then I noticed they are by the same brand! As you can see, I came out of the store with both pieces:)

Finally, shooting photos in a playground is as fun as the outfit itself! Thanks for reading and hope you all enjoyed it as well!

Shopping Day In Light Colors

Summer is finally here with us! The crab apple trees are blooming everywhere and bring the incredibly scented smell with breezes. It felt so great to go shopping in all light colors.

I was a little reluctant to try these cropped boyfriend jeans since I was worried they are going to make the legs look chunky. However, they turned out to look fine and even somewhat feminine when you pair them with heels (or in my case wedges since I haven’t learned how to handle heels), . These are from New York Company, but I am sure you can find similar ones all over the world! :)

The black rivet hat was a new purchase from Wilson leather. I love hats, not only because they provide shades in summer time, but also because they help hide second-day hair and make you look fresh and stylish! :)
