Shopping Day In Light Colors

Summer is finally here with us! The crab apple trees are blooming everywhere and bring the incredibly scented smell with breezes. It felt so great to go shopping in all light colors.

I was a little reluctant to try these cropped boyfriend jeans since I was worried they are going to make the legs look chunky. However, they turned out to look fine and even somewhat feminine when you pair them with heels (or in my case wedges since I haven’t learned how to handle heels), . These are from New York Company, but I am sure you can find similar ones all over the world! :)

The black rivet hat was a new purchase from Wilson leather. I love hats, not only because they provide shades in summer time, but also because they help hide second-day hair and make you look fresh and stylish! :)

To us northern people, enjoy every day of summer! (Layered top by Express, Shoulder bag by Coach).

Remodeled Cardigan and Eyelet Dress

This buttonless cardigan from Nordstrom had been sitting in my closet for a long while because I didn't know what to do with it--I am generally not really comfortable with the loose pieces in front being blown away when I walk:D Then one day I tackled this problem with this little cute bicycle pin—I use the pin as a button to pull the two pieces together (this might sound funny, but it definitely works for me!)

I got this eyelet dress from EXORESS last summer. It was the color that first caught my eyes because I really need to add some bright colors to my somewhat dull winter closet. And the eyelet design was very feminine and cute.

The COACH wristlet comes in handy when I go out for a short walk and only need to bring my keys, cell phone and some change with me. It’s also proved to be a great decoration to any outfit

Skinny Jeans

Skinny jeans have been popular in the past few years, but I never thought I would find a pair that suits me because I don’t have really skinny legs like those other girls do, until I saw these in Express.

The style is actually between “matchstick” and boot cut, with the leg opening offering extra room to tug in a pair of slender ankle boots. However, if you are very lucky to have tall lean figures, you might prefer to wear them with a pair of pretty flats. These jeans almost go with everything: a slouchy sweater in Spring like the one I was wearing in the pictures, or a sexy tank top in summer.

The Tignanello shoulder bag I luckily found in TJMAX is one of my summer favorites, not only because of its fresh white color but also the one of a kind delicate style. I have used it for so many years that it starts to show signs of wearing and scratching.  I love it nevertheless.

Camel Wool Coat

The tulip season is coming again, and this brings me back to the time when I visited Chicago for its beautiful and large varieties of tulips last year.

I was wearing this incredibly soft wool coat my mom bought me. It is the first camel colored coat that I own. The raised waist line with expanded lower edge gives me a lively look. It came with a detachable faux fur collar, which I would have put on if I wasn't wearing a scarf that day. She bought it as a “winter item”, however, with the cold weather in MN, I get to wear it in Spring or Fall, if we luckily get any:P

The Coach shoulder bag was a gift from my dear hubby two years ago, for no special reasons other than that he loves meJ . I really like the springy color and artistic design of it.

Let’s hope that the real spring will be here soon and our world will be full of tulips like the ones shown in the picturesJ
