I love maxi skirt—I reach for it on casual days when I don’t feel like dressing up but still want to look chic in an effortless way. I often pair it with a loose cropped top to achieve the relaxed look. Here are some photos taken when I was strolling on the street last weekend. Hope you enjoy them and find a spot in your closet for maxi if you haven’t already:)

When Stripes Meet Dots
Summer means beach to many lucky people. Although I don’t live very close to one, I try to get close to water at least a couple times during this hot season. While I have had fun times canoeing and kayaking, I have never been on a sail boat before, so when I heard about the fundraising event of “Sail for Leukemia”, I was thrilled!
Imaging myself being a sailor, I went with a stripped crop top, and to make the look even more playful, I added my beloved mini skirt with dots. This is probably the first time I wear two printed pieces together, and I loved how it turned out!

The Denim Maxi
I got this Max Studio denim skirt quite a few years ago, and since then it has stayed one of the staple pieces of my wardrobe. It can create either casual or dressed-up looks. I like to pair it with this men's belt to give it a slightly tough look, also create contrasts with the intended feminine design.
These photos were taken when we went out for a good morning coffee last Sunday. The cream colored brick wall of the church makes a nice and interesting background and leads the imagination to the earlier times.
